So its the season right. kids are sick. anyone with a brain cell knows this and knows that if the kid is not acting herself, first thing you do is... check for a fever right?
so for a week or so Emma has had a stuffy nose. no big deal. nothing to write home, or blog about. friday she started a cough. it was at night so i figured it was just the cold finally trying to leave her body or something.
Saturday morning she goes to her dads. comes home last night and he says she was coughing all saturday. fine. no problem.
so then she tells me about 5 mins after coming in that she didnt eat much at dinner. this is very abnormal for Emma because she could eat anyone out of house and home. so i ask why and it seems she has a sore throat. so i go to check her glands and she is BURNING up.
take her temp, she has a fever of 102°. can you imagine? she isnt acting herself, she wasnt eating, and she is obviously sick. would common sense not have told her father to check her head? so god knows when this fever started.
this had happened before with him also. she came home with a fever and he said 'well i dont know. you spend more time with her to know all this stuff'. loser
so here we are. the fever went down last night after advil but is back up today. she is vegging out in my bed today. im going to run to the store shortly and get her some Princess soup. Princess soup always makes little girls feel better.
poor little monkey. i hate when she is sick like that. that is when i wish i could just take it away with a wave of a wand. i must get on some wand waving lessons.

Awww, that's no fun at all. I hope she's feeling better soon.
Yeah, dads just don't have that sensitivity chip in there. I can sense pretty quickly when one is not well: they're quiet, not running around, yapping up a storm, and they sit down for longer than 5 minutes. LOL.
Sending get better soon vibes
Poor little Emma :( I'm sorry she's feeling so crumby.
I can imagine how frustrating it would be to have to share parenting responsibilities like that. The lack of control (If she gets sick will he know? Will he check for a fever? Will he know what to do?) would drive me around the bend. I'm stressed out enough as it is!
I'm glad she's on the mend and that you caught her fever before he got any higher!
