I can't quite figure out why Heath Ledger's death bothers me so much. Yes, of course he was so young and it's very sad but it REALLY bothers me. Kinda like River Phoenix's untimely death did.
Admittedly, I'm a bit of a star junkie. I don't read the gossip rags or sites or anything. It's just that stuff about actors sticks with me. Like when I play Trivial Pursuit I kick ass on entertainment questions. Not because I study up on it, just because I have this weird retention of names, movie credits etc. A hobby of sorts. I get attached to them.
I was feeding Danica when Kenny B came on and announced it. I immediately felt sick about it. Of course I think back about Roar (does anyone else even remember that?) and Monster's Ball and of course Brokeback Mountain. What an incredible talent. What a shame he's gone. I don't know whether he ODed or killed himself or what but I do know that Heath's death bothers me. I just feel incredibly saddened.
*sigh*
Do you ever notice that when famous people die, you cannot ever imagine them old anyway? It has struck me before that some people weren't meant to get old. That sounds odd but can you imagine a 60 year old Kurt Cobain? Or an elderly Princess Diana? A 40 year old River?
I can't.
